Meet Trainer — Eugene Thomas

First time to Fit Night Out™?? You should know we keep most of how Fit Night Out™ will run in a given month a surprise. But… we do tell stuff like a couple trainers’ names, which gyms are represented, or the products and services that wil be represented (just generally not how :-D).

Trainer — Eugene Thomas

Eugene Thomas, is currently the Head Trainer at David Barton Gym in Chicago, combining his unique perspective on nutrition, strength training, and wellness primarily for executives in the Chicago land area. In this capacity, he both trains individuals and consults to corporations. Prior to David Barton, Eugene was a strength and conditioning coach for two years with the Chicago Bears NFL football team, under Head Coach Lovie Smith. Eugene has also been a trainer at Chicago East Bank Club, as well as being a founder of the Chicago based gym, Manifesting Bodies. Eugene played college football at Eastern Illinois University and The University of Oregon, playing both fullback and middle linebacker. He also was a competitive swimmer, competing in the 100 meter freestyle and relay at the collegiate level. Eugene’s credits his mother, an amateur bodybuilder and single parent as his inspiration. She exposed him to a multitude of athletic activities at a young age, including swimming and gymnastics, and also taught him the value of service to others, which guides his life today. Eugene’s passion and energy has earned him a place as one of the most prominent trainers in Chicago.
